LOVE = REACH Day 35

READ: Acts 1:10-14

They all continued with one accord

2:1 – “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”  THEY WERE IN UNITY

2:47 – “Praising God, and having favour with all people.  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”   THIS IS THE RESULT OF BEING IN ONE ACCORD.

  • Unity carries potential
  • Unity can come under attack.

As we watch events unfold in our nation and across the world it is evident that unity is critical.  When unity is absent horrible acts can occur.  If ever before in the body of Christ we need unity.  Scripture tells us what happens when unity exists in Acts 2:47.

There is a difference between a team of champions and a champion team.

If ever the Church needs to unite it is now.  Let’s use the book of Acts as a lesson on UNITY.

There are Things That Unite:

  1. Endurance – not a singular thing that happened in Acts. But that they continued in the faith. They didn’t stop.

How much hell you can take and still continue – this is what unites.

  1. Good Leadership – It knows where it’s going. It makes tough decisions. It’s consistent. Good leadership unites.

You cannot lead by dividing.  The devil tries to divide. So the enemy will attack the leader who unites.

  1. Vision – Vision is what unites.

We have to work hard to see things through the eyes of our leader. We have to put in the work to see through our leaders eyes.   Our job is to see and act the way our leader would. It’s our leaders job to see the will and heart of God.   Where there is vision there is always time, resources, and energy.

  1. United vision = we see the same thing through the same eyes.
  2. Divided vision = we see the same thing through different eyes.

Matthew 12:25

25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

The church should be the place the world can learn leadership lessons on UNITY.  Let them see us as a force that is together.  We can reach more when we lead together.
