15 Jul LOVE = REACH Day 31

READ ACTS 23:11-25

In Acts 23, a group of more than 40 unbelieving Jews has come together to conspire against Paul. They are planning to ambush him and take his life. They swear not to eat or drink until Paul is dead. Overhearing their plans, Paul’s nephew tells Paul what is going to happen. Paul sends him to the commander to relay the news, and Paul’s life is saved.

This young man took a courageous step of faith. He did not allow fear to keep him from doing what he knew was right. He risked his comfort to help stop a murder, even though it could have cost him his own life. His role in these events could easily be overlooked. We don’t know the nephew’s name, let alone any other details of his life, but God used this nameless boy to save Paul’s life.

This story in Acts reminds us that we all play a part in God’s plan. No one is insignificant. We each have a purpose that is just as important as the role Paul’s nephew played in saving Paul’s life. There is someone’e life that hangs in the balance and they need us to stand in the gap for them.

Do you know what God is calling you to? Have the faith and courage to step into that which He is calling you to do. I know your life will have a domino effect as you REACH others.
